Even the Paderborn-Lippstadt airport was not so far. Kronenrestaurant is within short walking distance to the hotel. We loved asten village. Brilliant base for vacation in Winterberg.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel close to a stunning pine forest. The location was perfect for nature lovers, with numerous hiking routes right in front of the hotel. The facilities were more than decent, with a spacious and clean room, a lovely bar serving delicious Grevensteiner beer and pizza, and a swimming pool and sauna that were well organized and worked perfectly. The breakfasts were also delicious, with a wide variety of high-quality food on offer. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, this hotel is also kids and dogs friendly, which is a big plus for families.

The hiking trails around the hotel were amazing, the perfect way to explore the beautiful pine forests. The pool and sauna definitely helped us to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast selection was great with delicious bread and fresh fruit, and the bar area offered a cozy atmosphere for after-dinner drinks.

The restaurant staff didn't seem knowledgeable about vegan restrictions and didn't take them seriously, leading to some unfortunate incidents. Also, the room could have been cleaner upon arrival and the gym equipment was a bit outdated. But overall, an enjoyable experience for a city break.
